Margaret Brown is an accomplished public relations professional with more than 30 years of experience as a business writer, strategic communications advisor and media relations specialist. She is a published writer and accomplished editor, who supports her clients writing and editing press releases, magazine articles, blogs and marketing business communications, including web copy, ad copy, marketing collateral (from flyers to brochures), etc.
Her clients include ID.me, SWaN & Legend, American Tinnitus Association, 100WomenStrong, Strategic Communications Group, InterGrid and others. Previously, she worked in the telecommunications industry, serving as a director of public relations overseeing vertical markets for Nextel Communications. Other experience includes public relations and writing support for the United States Olympic Committee, the U.S. Modern Pentathlon team, Pace Foods, Tellabs, BT Security and others.
She serves as chair of the Board of Directors for Loudoun Literacy Council, serves on the oral history committee for the Black History Committee of Loudoun County and previously served on the board of All Ages Read Together, a non-profit that provides free school-readiness activities to low-income families.
